Training Local Community Groups (LCGs)
Home » Education & Training » Training LCGs
This programme is resourced through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) which is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development & the Gaeltacht, and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027 www.eufunds.ie.
We support Local Community Groups (LCGs) to strengthen their capacity in addressing social inclusion issues. This includes offering workshops and training for groups engaged with SICAP target communities, providing resources for local networks, and creating opportunities for interagency collaboration.
Let’s Talk Climate Action
This introductory talk for community groups explores simple, practical steps you can take to respond to the climate crisis. Together, we look at ways to reduce energy use in your community centre, cut down on waste and encourage more sustainable travel. The session is designed to give you ideas you can put into practice straight away, while also opening up conversations about longer-term actions your group can take.
